How we use AI and automated decisions
Last updated: 2 October 2026. This page is in English only.
AIEdu, from Customer Experience Insight Pty Ltd trading as WA AI Hub (ABN 61 634 039 759), teaches AI literacy, so we hold ourselves to the standard we teach. This page lists every place we use AI or an automated rule on information about you, what it does, and how a person can step in. It supports our Privacy Policy (automated-decision disclosures following APP 1.7 – 1.9 of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), which we apply from 10 December 2026, and Art 22 and Art 50 principles of the EU GDPR and AI Act).

| Where | What the AI / program does | Who decides | Personal information used |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prompt Gym, Bias Detective, Output Critic | An AI model (OpenAI gpt-4o-mini or Google Gemini fallback) scores your submission against a rubric and writes feedback. Prompt Gym also runs your prompt against a sample scenario. | Program (scoring). Scores are a learning aid. | Text you submit; your user or guest ID for limits and history. |
| “AI Literacy Practitioner” certificate | Issued automatically when you have completed the diagnostic and achieved a mean best Prompt Gym score of at least 3.0 / 5 across at least 5 different tasks. | Program alone (significant decision — see below). | User ID, assessment completion, Prompt Gym scores. |
| Paid access and quotas | Free / Pro / Team / Enterprise features and usage limits are switched on and off automatically from your Stripe subscription status. | Program alone (significant decision — see below). | User ID, tier, subscription status, team membership. |
| Learning path and Socratic tutor | A rules-based pathway from your quiz answers; AI-assisted path text and one-sentence tutor hints. | Advisory only. You choose what to do. | Quiz answers, role, your question to the tutor. |
| Language translation | Pages shown in Indonesian are machine-translated by AI and cached. Legal pages, policies and credential titles are not translated. | Program. English is authoritative. | None (site text only). |
| Team heat-map | Averages pillar scores of members who opted in. Never shows prompts or answers. | Informs a human only. Not for employment decisions. | Pillar scores, email. |
| Rate limiting | Caps requests per IP/guest/user to prevent abuse and cost blow-outs. | Program. Not a significant decision. | IP address, guest or user ID. |
Decisions that may significantly affect you
Two automated decisions could reasonably be expected to significantly affect your rights or interests: whether you receive a certificate you may rely on professionally, and whether you can access features you have paid for. For both, the decision is made by a computer program with no routine human involvement.
Your right to a person
You can ask for a human to review any of these decisions, tell us if you think an AI score is wrong, or tell us if your access does not match what you paid for. Email privacy@wahub.ai. A person who was not involved in the original outcome will review it and reply within 10 business days. Your statutory rights — including Australian Consumer Law guarantees and your rights to access and correct information — are not affected.
EU AI Act position
We assess AIEdu under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) as follows, and re-assess whenever its purpose, customers or features change.
- Not a prohibited practice (Art 5): no social scoring, emotion recognition, biometric categorisation or manipulative techniques.
- Not high-risk (Annex III): the intended purpose is self-directed learning by individual adults. It is not used for admission, formal assessment of students, proctoring or employment decisions, and the Terms prohibit those uses (Terms §6A). A certificate that evaluated learning outcomes for an institution would change this analysis, so we do not offer or market AIEdu for that.
- Transparency (Art 50): every AI feature tells you before you submit that you are interacting with AI and that output can be wrong.
- AI literacy (Art 4): teaching it is the product’s purpose.
- Roles: we are the provider of the AIEdu application and a deployer of third-party general-purpose AI models (OpenAI, Google).
Any sale to an EU education provider or for any Annex III use is blocked until a documented review (risk management, data governance, logging, human oversight, accuracy testing and registration) has been completed.
Limits of AI output
- AI can be inaccurate, inconsistent or biased. Scores and feedback are educational, not professional advice.
- Don’t put personal, client, confidential or sensitive information into AI features; it is sent to our providers in the United States.
- Please don’t rely on a score or certificate as a sole basis for hiring, promotion or any decision about a person.
